Beyond the Beckoning Trees is Gina’s first novel length work of fiction. Her debut book, Friending, a non-fiction book about adult friendship, was published by Microcosm Publishing in 2019. It was a top-selling title for her publisher in the quarter it was released and was a finalist for the Next Generation Indie Book Awards in 2020 in the Relationships category.
Additionally, Gina received an MA in Counseling in 2001, followed by WA state licensure, and worked as a psychotherapist for over 20 years, in a variety of community mental health, educational, and private practice settings. She made a transition to writing full-time in 2022 and completed the Writing Certificate program at University of Washington in 2023, continuing with the program instructor’s advanced courses, while also taking writing courses at Stanford.
Gina lives in the beautiful PNW with her partner, where she enjoys developing new stories, devouring contemporary romance novels, visiting local, indie bookstores, perusing weekly farmer's markets, and watching reruns of Parks and Recreation, Gilmore Girls, and The Good Place (usually while wearing "cozies" and sipping an ice cold Coca-Cola).
